Matt Lipscombe is a professional songwriter based in Montreal, Canada. The main songwriter for Gamiq award-winning band, Me Mom and Morgentaler, he penned Oh Well, which was a six-week-running number one "Buzzclip" on Quebec's Music Plus TV station. He now works behind the scenes, co-writing with artists in Toronto, Nashville and Los Angeles. His approach is to help artists tell their unique stories in a way that is relatable to a mass audience. A versatile writer, he adapts to any collaboration and has co-written songs in English, French and Spanish across the genre spectrum: country, pop jazz, latin, rock and blues: He has had over 40 cuts with award-wining artists such as Dawn Tyler Watson, Olivia Frances, Lily Frost, Tia Brazda, The Respectables, Me Mom and Morgentaler and Jordan Officer, He divides his time between Montreal, where his eight-year old son Lucas lives, and Havana, where his lovely wife and muse Damaris lives (pending immigration procedures).
